Leasing a New Honda Accord in Miami may be Cheaper than a Used Honda

December 22, 2009 Leave a comment

Frugal car buyers in Miami are considering buying a used car over a new car because they believe it is cheaper. There is not doubt one can find both vehicles at an extremely low price due to all the incentive programs passed by the government and car manufactures. However, making the right choice between the two can save you a lot of money in your pocket.

According to a recent study done by Edmunds.com, deals on new cars are so inexpensive that it may be less expensive than buying a used vehicle of the same model. Edmunds.com compared the vehicles’ True Market Value® transaction prices and the interest payments typically made for each vehicle. Because used/certified pre-owned cars are generally financed at a higher rate than new cars, a shopper can actually save money by purchasing a new vehicle instead of a used version in some cases. Consumers can save up to $600 by purchasing a new Honda Accord LX Miami over an older version of the vehicle, according to Edmunds total savings list. Savings of over $250 on the Honda Civic Hybrid is available when you purchase a new vehicle over a used vehicle.

New Honda Cars Priced Cheaper than Used Cars in Miami

December 21, 2009 1 comment

According to a recent report conducted by Edmunds.com, one can find deals on new vehicles being sold for less than the one year old used version of the same model. “Demand and supply dynamics are causing an increase in used car prices while lowering new car prices across the board, generally speaking,” according to site representatives. Accord to the Edmunds list, one can buy a Honda Accord LX and save over $600 by buying it new instead of used.

The analysis was done by comparing the vehicles True Market Value® transaction prices and the interest payments typically made for each vehicle. Some reasons for these occurrences are due to the limited supply of used cars. Three factors contributing to the limit of used cars are that there are fewer vehicles coming off lease this year because of the recent decline in leasing’s popularity and availability. Second, ‘Cash for Clunkers’ rendered many thousands of used vehicles inoperable and removed them from the scene at an unnaturally high rate. Third, because of the economy people are holding onto their cars longer.

Unique Honda “Native” Concept is the Chameleon of the Car World

A chameleon is a unique creature that blends into its surroundings by changing its color to match that of its environment. As such, the chameleon is not only in its environment, but it becomes a part of its environment- to the point of barely even existing- by blending in and leaving an untraceable footprint.

The new Honda “Native” concept (see pictures inside) seeks to be the automotive equivalent of the chameleon by simultaneously blending in with its environment and leaving an untraceable footprint on the world that it drives in. This concept is designed to run totally on electricity, which will leave zero carbon footprint on the environment. The Native concept also has a unique aerodynamic design and is constructed completely with aluminum to help get more out of each charge. As far as physically becoming a part of the envrionment goes, the Native concept is ultracompact, and features an exterior that is partially covered by photochromatic material that changes color when temperature, light, or other environmental changes occur.

This concept was designed by auto designer Tudoran Liviu, and is a design concept, meaning that its existence is mostly confined to the minds of the designers, and the imaginations of those seeing it in pictures. Such concepts are created by visionary designers to help provide fresh ideas and vision for the car companies they work for. However, every once in a while, it is not uncommon to see a few design cues in new models that are taken from these concepts.

Possibilities of Second Generation Honda Element to arrive in Miami

December 16, 2009 Leave a comment

Honda Motor Corp. is a competitive vehicle manufacturer with over 5 very successful car models under its belt. Besides dominating most of the hybrid vehicle world and small sedans, Honda has introduced two vehicles to its SUV category: the Honda Pilot, Honda Element, and the Honda CR-V. It is no surprise that due to consumer’s latest trends to go green, SUV sales have been particularly slow.

The Honda CR-V has proved to be the manufacturers top selling SUV with annual sales of almost 220,000 in 2007. On the other end of the spectrum is the Element. Annual sales for the Element have been dropping significantly since it was first introduced in 2003. In its debut year, 67,478 units were sold; Honda sold 26,447 last year, and sales in 2009 are down 46 percent to 13,458 through November.

Although sales seem to keep dropping, Honda Corp. is not giving up on their edgy SUV just yet. Honda is reaching a key demographic with the Element that it does not get from selling any other vehicle, especially the CR-V. “Our specialty vehicles give a little spice to the brand,” American Honda Motor Co. executive vice president, John Mendel said in an interview. “It’s all about platform usability. And the Element is part of that strategy.” As a result Honda will come up with another “out-side of the box” vehicle to replace the Element. No news of when we can expect to see the new vehicle or whether it will keep the same look of the Element has been released. Rest assured this vehicle will be available at your local Honda Dealership once released. In the meantime, be sure to stop by and test drive other “roomy” and distinguished Honda vehicles.
